Lousy sunglasses; The rip-off that keeps on ripping.. Stay away from Matrix Mailing aka Alterna Eyeware aka Vanquish Eyeware. They advertise "free" sunglasses for which they charge $10.00 or more to ship the "free" sunglasses (which are really worth about $2.00).

But here's the clincher: When you order on line, they enroll you in their "sunglasses program" without your knowledge or authorization. Their "sunglasses program" sends you two "free" pairs of sunglasses every two months, and charges your credit card $19.90 for shipping.

I called to protest, and they told me that there is a notice that I was enrolled in the "sunglasses program" on my purchase confirmation. I would have to call to be removed from the "program". Sure enough, such a statement is shown in fine print of the order confirmation.

Please understand, there is no mention of the "sunglasses program" during the order ordering process - no option to opt in or opt out. Only the fine print on the receipt. This is like buying groceries at the store, and then every two months the store sending you a "free" bag of cookies and charging your credit card $20 to deliver them. You'd better read the fine print on the back of the receipt!!!
