Great place!. I ate here for the first time last week and loved it. The food was exceptional -- really nice quality. Tart has a cozy, cool atmosphere and our waitress went the extra mile to answer questions we had about the menu. I would definitely come back here. It is very characteristic of the newer, hip "Bend" style.

What happened to 28?. I used to love this place, they had the best cocktails and service in town. They were always busy and it was always a lot of fun. I don't know if the place sold or what, but now there are no drinks on the list. The drink I had was sweet and had ice chunks in it. The service was slow and not very friendly. The place was mostly empty with a lot of staff just standing around gossiping in the corner. I probably won't go back, such a shame to see one of Bend's finest places go so downhill.

Best Service, Attitude and Quality and Consistency of Food. Great Service!, Great Food!, Great Attitude! and to top it off.... a Gluten Free Menu available and embraced! We have been to 28 on every trip to Bend and always been impressed with the service and quality of the food but this last visit was the best. On Friday, Dec 28th we had just left "Deep" after a very bad experience with the staff (bad attitude and lack of education on health....see Deep review for more details ) and returned to "28" (we started our evening at 28) hoping for a positive outcome. We received a warm welcome, open to where we wanted to sit and very helpful and knowledgeable approach for our gluten intolerent palates. Obviously a caring and well educated staff.

We highly recommend "28" even if you aren't gluten intolerent because there aren't many restaurants where you will experience such warm service and quality of food......unless you go to sister restaurant Zeidico. Another winner!

Best Bar Downtown. I just recently moved here and found this place a couple of months ago. It is a really cool place with a glowing orange bar and plush leather seats. The food is yummy and really affordable, I love the flatbread which is only ten dollars. You can always make it different because you chose the toppings. I also love the barbeque shrimp, they are a bit spicy but super yummy. The service is awesome. I have sat at a table and at the bar. I heard that their bartender got best bartender and I totally believe it, she is always super nice and makes a very yummy cocktail. I really like the yellow taxi cab martini made out of pineapple inflused vodka!
