Passing through the indoor mini-mall
that houses this small shop, I was drawn in by the brightly colored contents of the glass cases, particularly the Ukranian Pysanky eggs, a folk art that involves drawing intricate patterns on chicken and duck eggs with hot wax and then dying them in different layers. The resulting art piece is considered a protector against evil and harbinger of good fortune. All that for around $10--what a deal!
