Greedy, Shady, and Dishonest. I signed up for a monthly membership with Massage Envy knowing that according to their contract I would be released from the commitment if I were ever to move to an area that had no Massage Envy location. 7 months ago I did just that. I called up the Massage Envy in Bend and asked what I needed to do to cancel my contract, the manager told me that my phone call would suffice and my account would be cancelled. 3 months ago money began coming out of my checking account again, and when I called to find out why they told me that they needed proof of residence to cancel the account, and because I was misinformed the last time I called they would refund back the money they had taken. I faxed over proof of residence as requested, and after more than a week my money had still not been refunded. I called back to find that they had recently changed managers and the new one would not honor the promises her predecessor had made. I got contact information for the owner, and much to my dismay he is less helpful and far less sympathetic than even his employees. Last night he informed me that my account will still not be cancelled because the only proof of residence he will accept is a copy of my drivers license.

I would have gladly sent a copy of my drivers license the 1st time I attempted to cancel my account if I was asked to, but not until now has that been asked of me. I will send over the copy of my drivers license as now requested and hope they don't take anymore than the $200 they already have.
