What happened to the Pheonix?
by 1bachelorboarder at Citysearch
I used to stay here all the time but the quality of service has just nose dived and the costs are ridiculous. With a ll the great hotels in Bend the Pheonix has really dropped the ball.
- Pros: good location
- Cons: too expensive
Gave away my reservation without any notice
by ORBusinessTraveler at Citysearch
I have been staying at the Phoenix Inn in Bend, OR for business every other month for approximately 5 years. My secretary reserved my room over a week in advance. When I arrived at 10:30pm, after having driven 3.5 hours to get to Bend, I was told the hotel was full. They confirmed that they had reserved my room for me, but had then decided to give it away. I was informed that nearly all of the hotels in Bend were full that particular night, but that I could drive to the outskirts of town, where there may be an open room at a dump of a hotel. No apologies, no head's up, nothing. So much for 5 years as a customer. Never again, Phoenix Inn.
- Cons: terrible customer service
Ideal for large families or business travelers, this all-suite hotel chain boasts great locations and a wide range of amenities.

In Short
The generously sized suites are comfortable and functional, but luxurious touches like leather love seats and oversized desks take things one notch above standard hotel chains. In addition to business-friendly amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a full range of audio-visual equipment and spacious meeting rooms, Phoenix Inn offers features for vacationing families including indoor pools, hot tubs and a complimentary continental breakfast buffet. Most locations also have spa and fitness facilities.
